In reading, we were talking, Desiree and I, about some massages we could write to Ms. Williams as a thank-you note. about halfway through the letter, Ms. Williams told us to line up for the A.R. store. I was SOOOO excited! I had tried 3 years to get a beanbag, and finally I had enough points! 250 points was the cost of a beanbag. In my 4th grade, I didn`t have enough points, In 5th grade I was foolish and spent all my points, and finally, in the 6th grade of the last year of the last school period, I get the beanbag! When the lady said we could look around, I sprinted over by the beanbag only to be shoved and pushed by Conner and Kadan and Emmy and a couple others, I was the first to put my hand on the beanbag and to scream, I GOT IT!!!!!!!! The others got beanbags too, and Conner got a black one, and I thought the black one looked like leather so I asked him if he wanted to trade and he said, "Lemme think about it." Finally he decided no but I thought it was fine just as long as I got my VERY OWN BLUE BEANBAG. We then left and when I got back to reading, Ms. Williams announced that it was time to leave for the A.R. bowling party. Dad gave me money to buy everything, but my pants pockets, were really short, so my yellow slip fell out of my pocket while I was walking towards the bus. When I got on to take a seat in front of Conner and Kadan, Ally yelled that my money fell. I got excited and told Ms. Williams and we looked for it but we soon had to leave. While searching I found my yellow slip and just got on. Ms. Williams gave me $5 that was hers to me, but when I was on the bus with Aren, I thought about my other pocket, and there it was. I laughed and Aren laughed along with me. When we got there I returned the $5 to Ms. Williams and started bowling. I was afraid that we would do alpabetical like we did last year. Natalie CHRISTENSEN and Dallen BLACKER. Aren said that he was going to laugh hard and long if that happened. It didn`t. For some reason I was kind of disapointed but soon got over it. During the middle of the first bowling game, I kept watching Dallen.
Stop it Natalie! You didn`t like him before this day came along, so why are you liking him now?! I kept watching. Soon I felt like I had my old crush back on him. I told Desiree and she started hitting me. "NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!" She yelled. Kept watching him. Finally it was time to leave and when I got as close as I could to Dallen, I was pretending to talk to Steven and Mateo. I got as close as in 3 feet of him. Finally our names were called from Ms.Williams class and we lined up. Dallen walked up to me. Had he noticed that I watched him during bowling games? I met his eyes a couple of seconds ago and did he see what I was thinking? He came 6 inches away from me, my elbow from my folded arms almost touching his side
. Stop this Natalie! Your too young to be thinking about these things. I knew I had to stop thinking about it. We left and went to lunch and math and then we left for social studies, then I got tothe bus line. With the new pride-of-the-day in my arms, I carried a big grin and yelled at Devin and any others who were listening, "WHO`S YOUR DADDY!?" waiting and working 3 years to get the beanbag was totally worth it. I was walking down the bus isle when I heard Luke yell, "Hey Natalie! Can I sit on it." I`m sure that if you worked hard to get something for 3 years, you would have been as protective as me. "NO!" I growled. Not in a mean way but in a leave-it-alone-or-I`ll-kick-you voice. hugged it and pushed him away. No Breaky the beanbagy. We got off I started walking on the grass. I put the beanbag down so it would drag on the grass, that wouldn`t hurt it too much, plus my back hurt ALOT! I had fallen off a gym bar yesterday and landed on my back/neck/and head. Every time I stood my back up straight it felt like my back was gonna pop. It hurt like a mother! So I put it on the grass and started dragging it slowly across the lawn. I walk a little faster. As I`m walking, and I`m pulling hard on the heavy beanbag, because that sucker is heavy, and I`m walking fast with it, someone slams their whole bodyweight on my beanbag, and it feels as in the handle was going to rip off. I turn around and its Luke,
I TOLD YOU TO SAY OFF OF MY BEANBAG!!!! I got a little carried away and kind of kicked him in the stomach. He was on the ground not talking, and I knew I hurt him. I told him "Luke I told ou to stay off the beanbag and you could of ripped it." I regret kicking him now, but after waiting 3 long years, working hard, reading until 12 in the morning, You can sometimes get a little agressive and over protective. I was even scared before Luke jumped on it that it would break somehow. Finally Luke got up, and Devin said, sheesh Natalie, its only a beanbag. Sure Devin, like the time when I grabbed your valentine box, you snatched it away and shoved me. Surrr...eee Devin. I do really regret doing that and I will apologize to him tomorrow but for now I`m freaking out thinking that he will tell his Mom or Dad on me and then they will come to get me so every time I hear a noise outside I rush to the window and look out. Well other than the last part of this day, it has been wonderful.
What is the A.R. store? Where did you get the beanbag from? A store in the school? I am a little confused.
ReplyDeleteCongradulations on getting your beanbag Natalie! I am proud of you.
When you read a book, it has a certain amount of points depending on the grade lvl and thickness. after every season we go to the A.R. store to spend ourpoints. Its kind of like a program to make kids want to read. most books average about 6 points, and I saved all year to get it. It is VERY comfy. And yes it is in the school.
ReplyDeleteI feel ripped that they never had anything like that when I was in your grade.
