Learning how to Snowboard

I got up early this morning, excited for snowboarding, I got up around 7ish, which, trust me, is really early for me on weekends! I got ready slowly and Mom and Mike drove me to Conner's house and I watched TV with Conner until everyone was ready to go. A man who looked maybe in his early 20's named Brandon walked into the house, me, perplexed at who he was, simply thought he was the older brother, but as Conner walked past Brandon and saw my perplexed countance, he said, That's not my brother. He explained later that Brandon worked for his dad and they treated him like family, even though Conner didn't like him much. We left, and little did I know that we were just barely ready. We went to Idaho Water Sports in the Pine Tree Plaza, near Gonzos, and got everyone their snowboards/skiis. It took about an hour and a half. It was noon by the time we left. We then left for Taco Bandito, which I hesitantly admitted I haven't been to since about 3 years. Mrs. Beck exclaimed that she was sad and that I should hang out more with them to get some Taco Bandito. I hastily agreed. I like Mrs. Beck. Very nice and polite. I ate my burrito and I was pretty full. We started heading up towards the mountain and Pommerelle. She got up to where we were about 200 ft up the mountain and I started feeling sick. I tried to keep my eyes on the movie player, I tried to keep my eyes on Conner's game he was playing, but I still felt sick. Maybe it was car sickness I thought. So I looked at the road and that helped just a little better. By the time we were up at Pommerelle I thought I was going to throw up. I don't know, Mrs. Becks driving is kind of like Mike Searles driving. (I say Mike Searle because Mrs. Beck husbands name is Mike.) We got there and I got all my crap on, and I see Jackie come over. Cool! We have Jackie too! But she's better than a beginner so she left for the real slopes, not the Bunny Hill like I was. Conner and I huff and puff our way up to the top and place our snowboards down for a minute. Mr. Beck bought the tickets and put the stickers on our zippers. Our next destination was the Bunny Hill Ugh, I feel like such a loser going on the Bunny Hill, But I wasn't ready to go on the spud either. By the time Conner and I get to the top of the Bunny Hill, I'm bombing him with questions, asking him how do I bind myself in, how do I stop... the questions just kept coming. Finally after about an hour or two, I was starting to get the hang of it. Conner kept telling me I was doing better than him when he first did it, but I doubted it. When I finished my first time down the hill, I took off my helmet to get some fresh air, and the top of my head was covered with sweat. EEEeeeewwww... I stuck my head in the snow and sighed relief. We went again and when I was maybe 1/8 down the hill (It took me a LONG time to get down the hill) Brandon slid beside me and taught me a way to do it, but I couldn't do it that way. He said Conner was showing me the most difficult and hardest way to do it. I didn't like it when he said that. He should be happy that Conner is even trying to teach me! He finally left and I just abandoned his way and stuck with Conner's. He'll just have to stick with the fact that I'm a newb, I thought. A couple more times and the Beck family started gathering up, along with Jackie and her father. Hmm... I thought, watching them all from a distance. I wish that could be my family, but currently, My parents are divorced, one of my sisters doesn't have the time or the money to do this, and my other sister I hardly communicate with because of our different religion... Oh well, that never will mean I can't do it with my own family one day, I thought silently, and closed the thought of the subject with a smile. I stood up and hobbled over to the group. After the group had gone away, Conner and I were back to my training. I was doing really well, and I think just a little bit more practice and I can add some speed and some good turns to it. I'm jealous at how good Conner does it, and I like snowboarding so much more better than skiing. It's funny, really, When I get up, I have to do kind of like the same thing as planks that our gym teacher makes us do. Thanks Mrs. Fields, I appreciate it I thought. I had grown better at doing planks anyways, so it helped. Mr. Beck gave Conner some money and Conner and I went into the lodge to get a snack. We sat down and took our helmets and coats off. We got up and got us a drink, him a Pepsi, me a Dr. Pepper. We sat down and just talked about snowboarding and other small topics. Conner had to go to the bathroom, so I said that I would watch over the gear while he was gone and when he came back I would go to the bathroom. While waiting for him, I saw Mitchell Rice, a very funny and cool classmate of mine. Conner came back and I went to the bathroom and came back up, we were working on finished a pretzel and Braxton, a kid from our school, ( I don't know his last name because 1) He's a bad kid so I try not to know anything about him and avoid him and 2) There are way too many Braxtons at our school!) saw us talking and started the OOOooooh voice. You know, the voice you use when you see a guy and a chick hanging out, I wanted to kick that jerk. I hate that everyone thinks I like my best friends!!! Everyone thought that last year with Aren and me, and now in Jr. High everyone asks if either Aren and I are related, or dating. -.- uuuugh. When Braxton was gone Conner told me that he was afraid he would see us and do that. I nodded in agreement. We left and worked on snowboarding some more, and I was getting better and better. It was 4:18 and Conner and I were getting worried. We were supposed to leave at 4 o'clock... So we shrugged it off and continued snowboarding and then we saw Conner's dad and so we met up with him and said to come to the car, they were waiting for us for over half an hour. Ugh. Guilt rained down on me like a rainstorm. But Conner said it was alright, and that we didn't know, so therefor not to feel bad about it. We got in the car and Mrs. Beck drove us back to town, me feeling sick again. She asked whether I wanted to come with them to Pizza Hut or just to drive me straight home. I immediately decided Pizza Hut! We got to Pizza Hut and sat down, Conner and Avery talking about racist jokes and Obama jokes, they would ask if I would get it but I shrugged and said, I won't ever make fun of the President of the United States in a mean way, and I wouldn't want to make a racist joke. I told Conner plainly that Martin Luther King Jr. was my idol and hero. His eyes widened and he said, I'm so sorry. Wow, I didn't think Conner would of taken the apology that seriously! We had dinner, and Avery and Conner both admitted they liked a different pizza place better than Pizza Hut. I scowled every time they mentioned it. I love Pizza Hut! I have fun memories from here and I love their food, I didn't like them talking about Pizza Hut that way. Avery was very fun to talk to, I enjoyed his company. When we were walking out of the pizza place the littlest of the girls grabbed my arm and clung to it, I didn't know it she wanted me to hold her hand, but soon she let go. I was disappointed. She was a cutie pie. We got in the car and headed to Smiths so Mrs. Beck could rent a movie for the kids, and Conner's complaining made her get Puppy Party. Good job Conner, good job. She then headed to my house and all the lights were off. Crap, I forgot Mom and Mike had left for Jeriah's Birthday party. Mrs. Beck asked if I wanted to ride with them home and wait till they got here, I declined, knowing I would be alright alone. She asked several times more and I just kept rejecting her kind offer. I'm now home and I'm a little sore, but I hope to go with them again sometime soon and get better at the sport. National - Snowboarding - Olympics - Natalie out.

Not Very Hyper

My third grade teacher once told us that when writing a story, write the tittle of the story last. So I'm going to do that on this post. I just got back from babysitting Ashley and Jason Hull's little boy, Hudson. I can't wait to go snowboarding with Conner next Saturday, but I don't want to take alot of money out of my account. OK this is it, I'm just doing this one expensive thing one more time then I'm quitting and I have to earn all my money up again. Man do I need a job. Man do I want a job. I just got the book Dear John which is a movie that just came out. I want to get the movie New Moon cause I love that movie, even if Jenn and Amber DID gag about it the whole time we were watching it. 1st hour is gym, while we were practicing volleyball which I must admit I am getting better at, Bethany Whitehead came up to me and told me that whenever she thought about it, she always thought about my dogs. That made me smile for about an hour. We then had a game of Jeporady in Geography and our team won by 1. I think we just want to win for bragging rights. In 3rd hour we had a party because we were going to finish the book The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle It was a good book. Aren, Desiree, Conner and I all huddled up in the corner and hanged out while reading and snacking on snacks. My phone went off while Miss Haws was reading and I cussed quietly for a second or two. Whoops. Oh well, I'm human. Desiree has to be the coolest friend ever, I hope that we both make it on the volleyball team next year. I have a good feeling that we will be best friends during High School. Home Ect. is 4th hour for me, which I hate, don't get me wrong, I enjoy learning these things to help prepare me in the future for when I'm in an apartment, but the teacher scares me. She's cool when she jokes around and praises you for something you did well, but when you make a mistake she makes you feel stupid and idiotic. Let's just say that the stupid and idiotic feeling have come more than twice. I know she's not trying to be mean but I dunno. I always get hot in that classroom, so by the time I walk out of the room I'm close to sweating. I will grab my stuff out of my locker and head outside and I'm like aaaaaahhhhh in 13 degree weather because I'm so hot. I had gutair lessons after school and I am horrible at piano, but I just need to practice more harder and more. I am forgeting about gutair which is not good so I will have to practice on that too. After THAT, I had babysitting which I'm sure you read in the begining. That was fun I guess, but I watched Monsters, Inc. for like 3 times. I'm home now, wanting to write so badly about my crush but not wanting to take the risk of him seeing it on here. Dad is getting bark collars for the young pups, which I think is just cruel. I haven't been able to teach them yet and he's already decided to get bark collars! Yeesh, Chrissie barked like a madman when we got her, but as I trained her she stopped. She only barks when she sees someone unframilar or acting strangly. I just wish Dad wouldn't do this. People say that you get good jobs if you can key fast, but I don't know how that would help with getting a job. Whenever I'm in bed just thinking about life, I get scared when I think about how fast school is passing me by and how I'm going to be studying vet soon. It scares me. Will I be able to pull it off? Will I go on a mission and stop my education for 2 years? All kind of confusing right now. I also want the movie The Best Two Years. Good movie. I'm bored, I'm tired, and I've got nothing else to say. Goodnight. Not-Very-Hyper-Natalie Out.

Wow

So much has happened. I'm bored, and I need to get everyone caught up. Jr. High School has been EXACTLY how Noel had warned me it would be: Full of drama! Ally and I got in a huge fight, and it was resolved, but that didn't mean the fight wasn't short. P.E. isn't as bad as everyone says. When I do the really hard parts that I have trouble with I just look at the bobcat painting and it keeps me strong enough with pride. Dorky, but it works. Crushes are running high and low and I'm gaining and losing good friends. It seems like no matter what kind of hair product I use I can't keep my hair unfrizzy!! Not even a little bit!! I want an ipod now so I can buy songs off Itunes, and the ipod seems much much more better. Daphne and Leelah, the newest addition to my family, (the pups) are growing big and strong, but are not getting enough excercise, and this worries me. I am excited for spring when I can start training them. Hopefully Chrissie, Lisa, and Dimitri will learn to love them and accept them as part of their clan as I do. Life is becoming so much fun, then it plummets into the deep moist earth. One day I feel free and alive and the next day someone hurts me whom I love and it kills me. I guess that's life eh? I'm going to get off and change my wallpaper. Have a good weekend. Not-sure-Natalie out.

Mutual and Jr. High School!

So I have been having problems with my math teacher lately (I'm not naming any names so you goosipers get outta here!) that hasnt been putting a grade in that has effected my real grade to a B+... I bugged her about it today and after I write this post I hope it will list it up, well today after Service Learning when we went to the firehouse, we were heading back to the classroom and the bell rang... shoot, I told the teacher I would be in after school, better hurry because I don't want to have to be after school later than possible! So I get in there and get my test completed... but I'm tired and its the end of the day... and on the last question... I'm stumped!!!!! So I just put a retared answer and go home... Yeah, that's usually something you wouldn't expect of me... So I get homte and I'm just cranky!!! So I'm like yeah whatever I guess I will waste my evenings on yogurt and movies... and so I can't get the DVD player to work, so I get Mike in and I take like a 10 minute nap in my bed, and I hear him laughing... he is probably watching the Larry the Cable Guy I felt like watching last night... So I hear him laughing and say hey... must be pretty stinking funny... so I go in after Mike got it to work and I plug it in and he's just swearing worse than a Salior with no mama who just dropped an anchor on his foot... Yeah, noooo more of that crap! I turn it off and Sister Weir calls... oh great, dumb mutual is dumb tonight!! GRRRR EVERYONE LEAVE ME ALONE! And so I find out they are doing the mystery dinner that I enjoyed last year... and I know that when I'm in a grumpy mood and I don't wanna go to mutual I think you know what it will be fun the spirit is there and your friends will cheer you up... so of course I go. I go sit at the table with Jenna, Ashleigh, Camile, some adult guy from another ward, and some kids that go to Devin's grade. The boys were quite nice and were very mannerly. It sort of shocked me... After laughing at what we had gotten... we were ready to go dance... I was like Boo yah this will be so much fun... but wait... Finish ice cream, dancing, finish ice cream, dancing... Oh drat! So I get up for dancing... I go in one of the girl lines and I look up after laughing about something Joseph said and I see Dallin... Oh mudapples... Sister and Brother Ramsey then lined everyone up and I was hooked up with Joseph... Josh was right after Joeseph then Dallin, so hey, I was nervous but I was like, eh, NO WAY, no absoloute way I'm dancing with him... some weird thing has to happen, I know it will, someone will catch on fire, or someone will Tell them to stop the music and tell them this is crap and we will mob him down... no possible way... Well, apparntly Joeseph is older than the rest of us... and he gets all upset at me... "WHY do you girls find this so awkward!!! HOLY CRAP!" Then he scolded me when I didn't do the moves right... I wanted to punch him in the stomach... We then switched and I got Josh... no possible way right? No possible way... I'm starting to get nervous... Sister and Brother Ramsey start showing us how to spin, and Josh is smaller than I am so that was like doing the Limbo... and Dallin kept comenting like "Wow Josh your small," It was hairy scary! Then about a couple times after the group went around a big circle dancing... The Ramseys talked and Brother Ramsey grabbed his microphone and said, "OK Folks thats it!" I was like, Praise the cookie monster!! And I go sprinting over to Ally and told her what happened. I think she was mad at me... I dunno... But I acted like a goofball and I think she wasn't mad at me anymore... It was fun talking with jenna and Asleigh and getting to know them better... I wish I could go another year but I can't, I'm still wearing my skirt cuz its sooo much fun to swirl in! As none of you probably know... I had the 24 hour stomach flu which is like my favorite sickness beacause it is only 24 hours and you are asleep for like 12 hours of it... and the rest of it you are mainly asleep... But when I threw up in the toilet before school at like 5:30 in the morning I stayed away from school and I threw up out of Dad's window and there was Grandma's Beef Stew on the road, the window, and... unfortanitaly... my hair... Well I'm sick and tired of writing and I haven't written in like... OMZ FOREVER!! Ok Bye everyone... Wish me luck as I get to deal with my B day classes on the crap I missed when I was sick... Byyyyyeeeee

My First Jr. High School Dance!

So today... I found out I had to leave school early for an orthodontists opiontment. Jerks. Don't they know I shoud be in school until the last minute to gain as much knowledge possible?! Well after they checked my teeth they talked to my dad and mom about it and I either had the choice of wearing elastics and looking totally retarded or having surgery and looking beautiful... I hate these kind of desicions...While sobbing silently in the car... (hey... I have NEVER had to have surgery... I am responsible and careful... I didn't want to break my record now...) Dad went and bought us drinks... on the ride home... well rather the Jr. High so I could go to at least the last part of the dance Dad told me that, and I qoute... " Hey it will all be worth it when they are off and-" I cut him off. I said, " all the boys will want me I know I know" Then Dad, " you took the words right out of my mouth" Oh. My. Gosh. Can my Dad be anymore embarrasing in PRIVATE?! I hopped out of the truck and ran towards the doors and gave Mrs. Christensen $2 but she said I only needed $1. Sweet. I went in and saw Conner at the very top of the stairs, I went up and talked to him... he wouldn't come down but I finally pursuaded him and about 3 minutes of being on the dance floor he freaked out and fled. I totally understand why he would do that. Finally I got him to enjoy one song where I totally goofed up and I had all the moves wrong... but all was good and I am glad I went. Bye!!

Scared

I'm scared for school. It is Sunday... the night before school starts. I told Dad I would hit the hay aouut 15 minutes but I don't want to. We went to this fundraiser thing for Elias and we got an interview for kmvt and I cried and I feel so stupid cuz I mean im not even that close to elias. I have to be quiet while typing but for me thats a little hard. I also spelled my name werid when the lady asked me to spell my last name. I went to fast and I think I said it wrong. I don't know weather to watch it or not. I probably will but I bet I' going to look like a dumb idiot. KK bye I'm going to try to go to sleep by daydreaming. I like the Michael Jackson CD mom got me some of the songs I can relate to and I love them. Like Leave me alone. You are not alone. And the rest of the songs are just really cool sounding like Man in the mirror. I like that one. KK I guess I better log off now... OMG I'm so scared. I wonder how Aren Dessi Conner and Ally feel about it. I'm totally freaking out. It's SO hard to imagine that school starts tomarrow! KK bye bye.
